Recipe for Paradise:

Ready to embark on a baking adventure? Here's a basic recipe to guide you on your journey to Samoa Cookie Bar paradise:

  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 TBL. vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 TBL. cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp. all-spice
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 TBL Molasses
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled or quick oats
  • 1 cup sweetened coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 40 caramel squares

(or thick caramel sauce, will be more runny, but could work)

 

  1. Cream brown sugar + sugar with butter
  2. Add in vanilla, continue mixing
  3. In a separate bowl whisk eggs together
  4. Add eggs to your mixture, mix until creamy consistency
  5. In a separate bowl, mix baking powder, soda, salt, cornstarch, and flour together
  6. 6. Add dry ingredients to mixture

7. prepare a 9x9in pan with parchment paper

8. press 1/2 the cookie batter into the bottom

of the pan evenly.

9. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes on

parchment paper.

10. while baking, prepare your caramel

11. combine caramels and cream in a medium

saucepan, and heat over medium-low heat to

melt, stirring nearly continuously until smooth.

12. spread a thin layer of shredded coconut

and chocolate chips

13. spread caramel mixture onto of your chips

14. crumble the remaining cookie mixture on top

15. bake for 13-15minutes, until edges are

slightly.browned.

16. Before cutting your bars, allow time to cool.
